I don't often give in to the indulgence of talking about my own photos but I've just recently returned from a trip to Washington & New York. It was a family trip and although I took plenty of photos, the focus was certainly on family and not photography.
Still, that said, I did take a panorama of the Manhattan skyline I quite liked. Partly it's because I'm a sucker for cityscapes at night and partly because after queuing for four and a half hour to even get into the Empire State Building we arrived just after sunset and had some great light to work with. Definitely an image where the arduous process of taking it outweighs the actual result, but it's still pretty.
As I say, it wasn't a photography holiday but it was nice to get back out shooting nonetheless. A couple more touristy shots to round out today's blog post.
