I can't quite believe it has been three months since leaving Singapore. My memories of the heat and the food and the friends out there are still vivid a quarter of a year on!
With one notable exception I have barely touched a camera in this whole time, easily the longest period since I became a photographer. Moving home, starting work, preparing for a new baby and getting a puppy are all quite distracting! In fact the latter of these represents almost all photography efforts - https://www.instagram.com/thestoryofjasper
Phodography aside, I've neglected my site and my hobby too long.. Time to get the creative juices flowing again! I'm rejoining my old camera club and it will be interesting to see how the UK Club photography scene has changed (or perhaps has not changed!) and with that I hope to resume giving talks & workshops at clubs across the south of England again. Sadly it's looking likely that I will be cutting back on my gear reviews, camera companies in Europe don't support sites like mine in the same way, but that does mean I should have more time to focus on articles and guides, especially photo critique and helping beginners improve their technique & images. Finally I'm hoping to kickoff and document more of my own projects to help inspire others out there who are perhaps looking to break their own photography hiatus.
Thanks for all the messages of support and look out for a new post soon!
