Sony gave the compact camera market a much-needed kick up the backside in 2012 when it released the RX100. It continued to push the boundaries of the compact class again with the RX100-II.
Today is a different story, with many more compact options available and with mirrorless cameras continuing to improve and refine their offering. Compacts may still be smaller and lighter but can they compete in terms of image quality?
Are the days of the "enthusiast compact" over or has Sony got another winner on it's hands? Check out my detailed, hands-on review here and find out.
